In Memory of Amy Nicholls, a dedicated volunteer from England whose untimely passing at the serene Lake Challa in Taveta left an indelible mark on our hearts. It was her unwavering commitment and profound impact on the community that led to the establishment of the remarkable Amy Nicholls Community Center back in 2002.
Amy, along with a compassionate group of student volunteers, wholeheartedly immersed herself in the vibrant tapestry of life within the Kasighau community. Her selflessness and genuine care for others were evident in every interaction she had, as she tirelessly worked to uplift and empower the local residents.
When tragedy struck and Amy was taken from us far too soon, her grieving family, deeply moved by the enduring spirit of the community she had become a part of, resolved to honor her memory in a remarkable way. With boundless love and determination, they rallied the support of countless individuals and raised the necessary funds to erect a memorial center in her honor.
In a heartfelt gesture of goodwill, the Nicholls family selflessly bestowed this beautiful center upon the deserving Bungule Village, ensuring that Amy’s legacy would forever remain intertwined with the very fabric of the community she had cherished. Recognizing the invaluable contribution of the Amy Nicholls Community Center, ABECLUB, an esteemed organization, pledged unwavering support to ensure its continued success and growth.

The community center has the following facilities
Sewing Workshop:
Recognizing the potential for skill development and economic empowerment, the center established a sewing workshop. This workshop provides community members, particularly women, with the opportunity to learn valuable tailoring and sewing skills, fostering self-sufficiency and opening doors to income-generating ventures.
ABEclub Office and Storage:
The esteemed ABEclub organization has chosen the community center as its office and storage space. This collaboration not only strengthens the center’s operations but also reinforces the shared commitment to community development and support.
Public Access and Bazaars:
The center opens its doors to the public, making it available for various community meetings, events, and bazaars. This inclusive approach ensures that the center serves as a vibrant and accessible hub for the entire community, fostering unity and collaboration.
Renovations, Repairs, and Maintenance:

Employment of Gardener and Watchman:
